Gaslight and Shadows - Victorian London Mystery
London, 1888. The fog rolls through cobblestone streets, gaslight flickers in the darkness, and beneath the veneer of Victorian propriety, secrets fester. High society has its scandals, but so do the rookeries and workhouses. I want to tell a mystery story set in Victorian London, centered around an unusual investigative partnership. Perhaps your character is a journalist, a private detective, a doctor, or even someone from the criminal underworld. Together, our characters will investigate a series of connected crimes that lead them through all levels of London society. This will be heavy on atmosphere, period-accurate details (though I'm happy to explain things if you're not familiar with the era), and the complex social dynamics of the time. We can explore themes of class, gender roles, morality, and justice through the lens of a gripping mystery. Looking for a partner who enjoys research, atmospheric writing, and slow-burn character development. Romance is possible but should develop naturally and won't be the main focus. I prefer partners who write at least 2-3 paragraphs per post and enjoy collaborative plotting.
