After the Fall - Survival in the Wasteland

Twenty years after the world ended, humanity clings to survival in scattered settlements and nomadic groups. Resources are scarce, trust is scarcer, and every day is a fight to see another sunrise. I want to explore a story about two survivors who form an unlikely alliance. Maybe they meet during a supply run gone wrong, or one saves the other from raiders. Whatever brings them together, they'll need to learn to trust each other if they want to survive. This will be a character-driven story focusing on survival, moral dilemmas, and slowly building trust between two people who have learned the hard way that trusting others can get you killed. I'm interested in exploring themes of hope, loss, and what it means to be human when civilization has crumbled. I write multi-paragraph responses and prefer partners who do the same. Looking for realistic characters with flaws and depth. Combat and danger will be present, but the focus is on character development and their growing bond.
